Know The Lord
Based on Hosea 4-5, Psalm 134
It is so hard to navigate through life right now-we always want to know what's coming next. It's uncomfortable sometimes to not know what's coming, and when problems DO come, we want to be smart enough to handle it & get through it...but thankfully, we don't need to study up on today's trends & current events to come up with our best predictions; we just need to know The Lord by studying His Word!
"Hear the word of the Lord, ye children of Israel: for the Lord hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land." Hosea 4:1.
No truth, no mercy, no knowledge of God...because of this, the people had a disagreement with God. Instead, we need to know truth, know mercy & have knowledge of God! When we disagree with God, we choose destruction...not because God hates us for disagreeing, but because only HE knows the best way to go! Especially because He created us, our purpose, the universe...EVERYTHING!
"My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children." Hosea 4:6.
If we show God we are not interested in going deeper into a relationship with Him by getting to know Him more, He will give us the desire of our heart...and He will do the same. He won't force it. As we distance, He distances, and it becomes harder to reach a point of humility in our lives when we realize we need Him. We need to know Him! We need to remember His Law! We are a part of His story...so if we forget His story, we are forgotten in the process!
"I will go and return to my place, till they acknowledge their offence, and seek my face: in their affliction they will seek me early."
Hosea 5:15.
Don't wait until the struggle is too heavy to bear...don't wait until the confusion, fear & doubt sets in so immensely...get to know Jesus NOW, and be safe & secure when the trouble arises. We don't need a complex answer to every problem...we just need Jesus.

Surviving the Peace Plummet
Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 1 Corinthians 2:2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...
A Moment of Silence.
As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
The Heart of the Struggle
Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
