LET IT OUT

LET IT OUT

"Lord, I cry unto thee: make haste unto me; give ear unto my voice, when I cry." Psalm 41:1. God is always there to listen! We may feel like we can't come to Him weak or confused. We may feel like we have to have something specific in mind to pray for...

In reality, God wants our hearts. Even if all we can do is cry to Him, He listens and understands why we hurt.

Moms, I don't know who can relate right now & maybe some of these posts are not for you. Right now, this may be an outlet for me to express what I am going through and what I am praying about. My brain (and house) are scattered messes that I am trying to tame each day before "scattered" turns to "shattered." The hardest part is, I love every minute of it (I know it's a Mom thing; even the most stressful times with our kids are cherished!). Through all of this, I would love to be a "Moms Prayer Squad" and keep each other strong.

In saying that, I do have a confession to make: I do not like to express my difficulties. I feel like if I claim to need help in any way, it just shows I am not willing to take the steps necessary to fix my life up. Turns out, grabbing the nearest accountability partner (after taking your needs honestly to God in prayer) is the best step you can take to fixing your life! I have a wonderful sister in The Lord who made me realize that. God blesses us with many people in our lives to help us.

The first person you need to be honest with is yourself. Then I believe the next person to talk to is a Pastor. All the world's problems have Spiritual solutions!! I am trying to develop a deeper prayer life (along with better time management) and I would love for us all to express our needs and encourage one another. I know life is extremely busy with our kids, and sometimes we can't manage to salvage many moments of calm...but in those times we do, let's always remember to dedicate some time to the God of ALL TIME...AND ETERNITY!

Although God knows our hearts & cries, here are some things to say when we just can't figure out what we need to pray about. When we know a pressing need is there, but we may not be sure how to formulate it:

"Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done." Luke 22:42.

"From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I." Psalm 61:2.

Search the Scriptures! There are many ways God helps us put our feelings into words...but sometimes, a cry is enough.

Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...

The Heart of the Struggle

Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
