Let it Snow!

Gina Pietrzak

Based on Nahum 1-3, Revelation 14

"The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him. But with an overrunning flood he will make an utter end of the place thereof, and darkness shall pursue his enemies." Nahum 1:7‭-‬8

We've all heard the saying that when it rains, it pours. When one thing goes wrong, it just seems to "snowball" from there! (Hence the theme-SNOW!). Even though it may seem like one thing after another sometimes, we have to just say, "Let it rain!" Or "Let it snow!" And "Let God handle it!" He is a stronghold in the day of trouble as the Scripture states, but those who make themselves enemies of God expose themselves willingly to those storms of life, uncovered & unprotected! I don't know about you, but I'd definitely enjoy being under God's umbrella instead of under the pressures of this life!

"And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps:" Revelation 14:2

God created the world, the way it works, and the Heavens! Even certain sounds of Heaven can be so powerful that they sound like storms! We have to remember who is in control when it rains, pours or snows on our "parade." We have to remember that we can have joy, peace & calmness on the ride because He will get us to our destination safely! And Heaven IS that great destination!

"Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus." Revelation 14:12

Be patient. Have faith, ESPECIALLY in the storms! The darkness is where Jesus can really shine! So...LET IT SNOW!

Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...

The Heart of the Struggle

Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
