Life's Purpose
Bible Reading Today: Genesis 48-50
Genesis 50:20 But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.
Joseph could have spent many a day in his prison cell pondering life's purpose. He could have came to his own conclusions...but he knew God had a good plan for him! As we can see, that was true! His life was not over at the tragedy...in fact, new life CAME from this tragedy! If it wasn't for the tragedy, Joseph couldn't save much people alive as the Scripture says. We ask at times, what is the purpose of life? That could be looked at in a different way though: Life's Purpose, or Life IS Purpose! In Joseph's case, life was definitely the purpose! Saving from death & future tragedy was the purpose! New life is God's main goal for us...God is a life-giving God...once we go through the new birth of repentance, baptism in Jesus' Name & receiving the Holy Ghost, we experience a new life with Jesus more abundant than the first! God is love. God is life. And sometimes, that's just it! Life's purpose is simply Godly life! "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." John 10:10
"For he is not a God of the dead, but of the living: for all live unto him." Luke 20:38

Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...
A Moment of Silence.
As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
The Heart of the Struggle
Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
