Bible Reading Today: Nehemiah 6-7

Nehemiah 6:3 And I sent messengers unto them, saying, I am doing a great work, so that I cannot come down: why should the work cease, whilst I leave it, and come down to you?

Nehemiah was someone who truly had integrity in his work for The Lord-and that's because he recognized it for what it was-something that was much more important and of much higher status than any other type of work there is! I think Nehemiah meant so much more in his statement, "why should the work cease, whilst I leave it, and come down to you?" Although it was true that he was in a physical position of being high up while working on building the wall around Jerusalem, he knew he was also in a God-given position of a great work that was levels above his enemies taunting him from beneath! Next time we feel a negative pull or pressure in the good work we are trying to do for The Lord, we just have to remember that we are looking down from a place of high status! The higher we go with God, the more pressure we get from beneath-but with God, we literally have the Upper Hand! We don't have to pridefully profess it, but we can humbly proclaim to our enemies to "Look out below!" because we are doing some damage to the devil from Heavenly, high places!

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...

The Heart of the Struggle

Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
