Louder than the Crowd

Reading of the Day: Psalms 96-98

Psalms 98:4: Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise.

When we raise our voices, we make ourselves known to those around us. We draw attention...and we can do this for many reasons...anger can cause us to get loud. Our feelings can get to the point of explosion, and we feel like we have to be heard immediately (often with a lot of regret afterward). We can use our voices to draw awareness to a cause. We can even try to sing louder than a band at a concert. But how often do we quiet our worship? How often do we keep our praise hidden, not making it known that we are joyfully celebrating The Lord? The Scripture says to make a loud noise! God doesn't mind raising our voices as we lift Him up! It's ok to get a little crazy with our praise! Kids' worship songs even come with their own moves, and it's so fun to watch them get so into worshipping...but God doesn't only want to hear it from the kids! Praise doesn't have to be sophisticated; just express your heart to Him! Let's be louder than the crowd for once...louder than the messages of negativity...louder than the lies of the devil...louder than our doubts & fears...and let's raise a praise! This way, God not only gets the glory, but we also drown out anything that could drag us down! Let's get right into it with the kids, taking our worship up a notch! Matthew 18:3: "And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven."
