Made a Way
Based on 2 Kings 7-9, John 1:1-28
Opportunities are running out. We've tried everything. Our most has been given. What now? Where do we go when we feel like we're at the end of our rope?
WE MUST GO TO JESUS! He always makes a way when there seems to be no way. We must rise out of the rut & realize restoration IS possible if we go! In the passage below, 4 lepers who were sitting hopeless knew death was possible in every direction, but if they sat & did nothing, then death would be 99% more likely...so they took a chance and went to the Syrian's camp, and God allowed a miracle to take place because of their walk of faith!
"And they rose up in the twilight, to go unto the camp of the Syrians: and when they were come to the uttermost part of the camp of Syria, behold, there was no man there. For the LORD had made the host of the Syrians to hear a noise of chariots, and a noise of horses, even the noise of a great host: and they said one to another, Lo, the king of Israel hath hired against us the kings of the Hittites, and the kings of the Egyptians, to come upon us. Wherefore they arose and fled in the twilight, and left their tents, and their horses, and their asses, even the camp as it was , and fled for their life." 2 Kings 7:5-7
A treasure trove of Syrian spoil awaited these men! Not only had they found sustenance for themselves, but they found out that they Israel had won the victory against Syria! God caused the Syrians to hear a false sound of attack so He could pour out a blessing through the enemy! But what if the lepers just sat hopeless? What if they didn't bother seeking out another chance at life?
"Then a Lord on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God, and said, Behold, if the LORD would make windows in heaven, might this thing be? And he said, Behold, thou shalt see it with thine eyes, but shalt not eat thereof." 2 Kings 7:2
Earlier on, Elisha was told by The Lord that they would be able to obtain many riches by selling the stuff that belonged to the Syrians...and it's because of those windows in Heaven! It's because of our God! Again, He is the One who makes a way. He causes walls & giants to fall!
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made." John 1:1-3
Not only were all physical things made by Him...but solutions to our problems are made by Him too! Joy comes from Him! The seen & the unseen are in the Hands of God...and He always makes a way by leading us out of darkness with His Light:
"In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not."
John 1:4-5
Our darkness & our problems won't understand what hit them when Jesus steps on the scene! Trust Him with your good & your bad, and see what He makes of it! Remember, there are windows in Heaven!

Surviving the Peace Plummet
Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 1 Corinthians 2:2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...
A Moment of Silence.
As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
The Heart of the Struggle
Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
