Bible Reading Today: Deuteronomy 14-16

Deuteronomy 14:2 For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God, and the LORD hath chosen thee to be a peculiar people unto himself, above all the nations that are upon the earth.

When we truly declare that we are a people who delight in serving The Lord & following after His Word, we will look a little different than other people...as the Scripture states, "...a peculiar people unto himself, above all the nations that are upon the earth." Other nations & cultures might be confused when they see us. Many of our family, friends & neighbors might also notice something unique. The closer we are to implementing a Biblical pattern of living, the more we'll stand out! Making a difference in our world starts with BEING different. You can't make a statement or make a difference by blending in! God wants us to shine, with His Light shining through us & lighting the way for others! Our job is to go into a crowd & be the Christian others need to see in order to get to Heaven one day! If we look too much like the world, we should be concerned! It's ok to be like Christ! Let's allow God to make us different in order to make a difference today!

Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...

The Heart of the Struggle

Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
