Minding the Things of God

Bible Reading Today: Isaiah 23-27

Isaiah 26:3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

Usually people say, "If you don't mind..." but sometimes, we do mind. In fact, lots of the time, that phrase is bracing us for something that could be an inconvenience to us. It's something that might require a little extra effort, and not so much peace. While that's not a bad thing, and it's definitely good and necessary to go out of our way for others, we also need a place of peace to run to after a day of "if you don't minds" are all said & done. That's why minding the things of God is so important! As this Scripture states, we will be in perfect peace when our mind is stayed on Him. That's because we place our trust in His peaceful plan! When we mind the Scriptures, the "if you don't minds" don't seem like such a challenge. In fact, we anticipate them with joy and not so much anxiety. We look forward to the next opportunity to serve! Let's put our minds to minding the wonderful Word of God together!

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
