More than an Army
Based on Psalms 31-32, Acts 23:16-35
"For I have heard the slander of many: Fear was on every side: while they took counsel together against me, They devised to take away my life. But I trusted in thee, O LORD : I said, Thou art my God."
Psalm 31:13-14
It's easy to look at the numbers & think we've lost...to look at how much is stacked against us, creating a mountain that we don't even want to approach climbing...to think that it will automatically be a loss, so why put in all the time & energy? Even still, we must keep in mind the fact that God alone is more than a mountain of problems! God alone is more than an army of persecutors! God ALONE can get us through, and He even uses His angels on top of that!
"Many sorrows shall be to the wicked: But he that trusteth in the LORD, mercy shall compass him about. Be glad in the LORD , and rejoice, ye righteous: And shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart." Psalm 32:10-11
When we feel surrounded by negativity, we have to remember that mercy surrounds us when we call upon His Name, the Name of Jesus! When we practice a life living for The Lord, it is one of victory! Even if we can't see past the problem. Even if there are many sorrows in number...GOD ALONE IS ENOUGH! Paul realized this and found favor in the face of every obstacle!
"But do not thou yield unto them: for there lie in wait for him of them more than forty men, which have bound themselves with an oath, that they will neither eat nor drink till they have killed him: and now are they ready, looking for a promise from thee."
Acts 23:21
Paul found protection from the Jews by the Roman centurion. Paul was preserved from the Jews' attacks because, being a Roman, he needed to be safely brought out and tried by the Romans. They covered him on every side! No one could get close to him! It was a miracle they even knew of the Jews' plans against Paul...but as we have read in Psalms, that's how God works! When one army was out to get him, God alone made a way for the Roman army to protect him! It's amazing to think of how God can coordinate all this...but that's why He is our God, and we should never lose trust in Him!

Surviving the Peace Plummet
Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 1 Corinthians 2:2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...
A Moment of Silence.
As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
