Mountains to Move
Based on Ezekiel 6-7, Proverbs 18
Some mountains are meant to be climbed, but some are meant to be moved out of the way! Some mountains are just high places & distractions which are separating us from God. We need to take down those strongholds to allow us to see God and serve Him more clearly!
"Son of man, set thy face toward the mountains of Israel, and prophesy against them, And say, Ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord God; Thus saith the Lord God to the mountains, and to the hills, to the rivers, and to the valleys; Behold, I, even I, will bring a sword upon you, and I will destroy your high places." Ezekiel 6:2-3.
If there's something (or many things) in our lives which are causing us to walk away from God or not give God our full attention, then we need to get rid of those things! There's a point at which we don't just entertain ourselves with other things, but we SERVE other things...idols...and that is a dangerous place to be! How do we know if we serve other things besides God? If it challenges our time with God and putting Him first, it's most likely an idol!
"Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;"
2 Corinthians 10:5.
If it is in any way trying to take up more of our lives than it should be, we need to cast it down in Jesus' Name!
"In all your dwellingplaces the cities shall be laid waste, and the high places shall be desolate; that your altars may be laid waste and made desolate, and your idols may be broken and cease, and your images may be cut down, and your works may be abolished. And the slain shall fall in the midst of you, and ye shall know that I am the Lord."
Ezekiel 6:6-7.
We need to know that He is The Lord by spending time with Him now! We shouldn't let it get to the point where our idols are destroyed for us to see more of God. God is always willing to fight for us, to chase down every lost sheep...so we need to fight for Him! We need to cast down our own idols and willingly allow more of God into our lives!
"The morning is come unto thee, O thou that dwellest in the land: the time is come, the day of trouble is near, and not the sounding again of the mountains." Ezekiel 7:7.
Remember, there is a time when it will be too late! There is either an unfortunate end, or an amazing eternity...what we do in this life really matters!
"The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe."
Proverbs 18:10.
Let's let The Lord be our strong tower, not our idols! Our idols crumble in comparison to God, no matter how much we try to build them up. Tear down the mountains built against God, and He will show you which mountains are worth climbing!

Surviving the Peace Plummet
Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 1 Corinthians 2:2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...
A Moment of Silence.
As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
The Heart of the Struggle
Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
