Multiplied Mercy

Reading of the Day: Deuteronomy 19-21

Deuteronomy 19:9: If thou shalt keep all these commandments to do them, which I command thee this day, to love the LORD thy God, and to walk ever in his ways; then shalt thou add three cities more for thee, beside these three:

These added cities discussed in this Scripture are the cities added for the murderers as places of refuge. We mentioned these cities before in order to show God's love, fairness and compassion...but this Scripture takes it one step further! God was telling the people that if they loved Him & walked ever in His ways, then He would add 3 more cities to the 3 original cities of refuge! In adding these cities, mercy is multiplied! He extends more grace & mercy to those stumbling on the right track...to those trying hard to do right, but making a mistake. If we stumble along carelessly, not concerned with the ways of God and not consulting His Word on how we should live, then we are experiencing God's love in a minuscule way compared to the multiplied mercy we could have! God provides more of a safety net to those who try their best to hang onto His life-giving law, but to those who make hasty decisions and take leaps without faith, God's mercy & protection is not multiplied because it's clearly unwanted and disregarded! If we want multiplied mercy, we need to ponder the things of God in our hearts daily! We need to live it out in order to see the manifested miracles! In adding more time with The Lord, mercy is multiplied! With every single addition we make concerning the things of God, He multiplies it magnificently!

Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...

The Heart of the Struggle

Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
