My life, an offering...
Bible Reading Today: Leviticus 1-4
Leviticus 4:10 As it was taken off from the bullock of the sacrifice of peace offerings: and the priest shall burn them upon the altar of the burnt offering.
There were many different types of offerings in the Bible...Peace offerings, sin offerings, burnt offerings, trespass offerings, wave offerings...all of them for different important purposes, but all pointing to one special reason-Jesus! Yes, all these sacrifices & offerings were a sign of what the blameless, spotless, sinless Lamb of God would do for us! And with the example of Jesus, we too can offer our lives to Jesus in living holy for Him! First, we need 3 Key Steps of Transformation: Repentance, Baptism in Jesus' Name & Receiving the Holy Ghost! Once that takes place, we take on the name of Jesus & His identity! We strive to live holy as He is holy, giving ourselves to the work of The Lord-as a beautiful offering. We may not think we have a lot to offer, but God can do an incredible work through us when we commit our lives to Him! Remember, He only needs a willing heart to follow His Word...He will take care of the rest!
