Need a lift?

Need a lift?

"I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help." Psalms 121:1. We look to many different things for that lift, or pick-me-up, that keeps us goin' throughout the day! Lots of the time, it's caffeine. But ALL the time, it's God! He is working behind the scenes on things we don't even know about!

So, as the Scripture says, "I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help." Our lift, or pick-me-up, starts with US! We need to first lift our eyes out of our problems and look to the hills! Look above! Look to GOD! Then God will bring the help!

"Unto thee lift I up mine eyes, O thou that dwellest in the heavens." Psalms 123:1.

Don't dwell on what's not done yet! Get the plan ready and look to God! He dwells above it all. He has all the answers. He will "give you a lift" to the solution. His mighty hand will "pick you up" and guide you!

"Thou hast a mighty arm: strong is thy hand, and high is thy right hand." Psalms 89:13.

"Behold, the Lord's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:" Isaiah 59:1.

God will see us through, hear us through, and carry us through! Need a lift? Need a pick-me-up? Go to God (and take your coffee with ya!)

Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...

The Heart of the Struggle

Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
