Bible Reading 3/25: Joshua 9-11

Joshua 9:14 And the men took of their victuals, and asked not counsel at the mouth of the LORD.

Where is the best place to go for some much-needed advice? The answer is God! Just ask the Israelites! They found out time & again how important it is to seek The Lord first before making decisions. In this case, a group of people from Gibeon tricked Joshua and the Israelites into thinking they were from a far country, when in fact, the Gibeonites were neighbors to Joshua and the Israelites! The reason is because Gibeon did not want the people of God overtaking their land just like they did to many other kingdoms previously. Without seeking God's counsel, Joshua & the Israelites made a pact with Gibeon, ultimately promising they would not destroy Gibeon. God probably would have given them victory over that land if they didn't make the pact! This is why we need to seek God's wisdom before using our own-His wisdom in infinitely greater! We all want help at times, but the best help to seek is The Lord! If we pray before we make decisions, we won't have to pay for it later! We might be throwing away a victory if we move forward without God!

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...

The Heart of the Struggle

Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
