Never Alone

Gina Pietrzak

Based on Psalms 77-78, Romans 10

"I have considered the days of old, The years of ancient times. I call to remembrance my song in the night: I commune with mine own heart: And my spirit made diligent search." Psalm 77:5‭-‬6

When we feel like we are all alone, and we have no help or no one their to listen, GOD IS THERE! He will give us a song to sing in the night & the dark hours! God doesn't need an army to get His attention...sometimes, He just needs one lonely heart, ready to commune with Him! When we seek Him out, we will most certainly find Him!

"Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:" Matthew 7:7

"He chose David also his servant, And took him from the sheepfolds: From following the ewes great with young he brought him To feed Jacob his people, and Israel his inheritance. So he fed them according to the integrity of his heart; And guided them by the skilfulness of his hands." Psalm 78:70‭-‬72

This lone shepherd, with a small flock of sheep, received an even greater flock, the people of Israel! And it wasn't because he had a team backing him...HE HAD GOD! God showed David it didn't take a team to face Goliath. All it took was a willing heart! That one heart, seemingly so lonely after his brothers went off to war, was later used to fight the giant & gain a new, giant flock when David became king of Israel! He had a heart after God's own heart: "And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will." Acts 13:22

In the end, being alone is a very powerful place to be! The power & presence of God can come without the distractions of life. God can use hopelessness. God can use vulnerability. God can turn that around in us if we are willing to give Him one thing alone-our whole heart!

Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...

The Heart of the Struggle

Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
