Never Left Wondering

Gina Pietrzak

Based on Joshua 1-3, Mark 16

God gives us many reasons to be in awe & wonder of Him, so we are never left wondering if He is alive, active & working miracles! We can know it for sure! His amazing miracles leave us no choice but to believe & follow Him completely! To be baptized of water & Spirit! To have newness of life, just as Christ rising from the dead!

"Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest. This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success." Joshua 1:7‭-‬8.

It is easiest to be in wonder of something when you're close to it...if you're far away, well, you're just left wondering! Confused! In doubt! That's why the closer we are to God, the closer we are to the wonders of His love & miracles! And, we can only develop that close relationship with Him through obeying His Word & a prayerful connection!

"And it shall come to pass, as soon as the soles of the feet of the priests that bear the ark of the Lord, the Lord of all the earth, shall rest in the waters of Jordan, that the waters of Jordan shall be cut off from the waters that come down from above; and they shall stand upon an heap." Joshua 3:13.

Joshua believed & obeyed God! And God DID follow through! What a wonder it must have been to see this parting of the waters again. How comforting for the people to know that if God did it once, He will do it again! The going through the Red Sea & Jordan kind of reminded me of the waters of baptism...once we pass through & receive His Spirit, we get to be in wonder of the greatest miracle of all-new life in Christ!

"And he saith unto them, Be not affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him." Mark 16:6.

Jesus gave us the pattern to a resurrected life in HIM! Dead to sin in repentance, buried in baptism, and risen with the Holy Ghost in new life! Jesus rising was the greatest miracle, and He desires each one of us to experience that for ourselves!

"Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen. And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;" Mark 16:14‭-‬17.

All these signs which followed are true WONDERS! And they continue to happen TODAY! The question is, have we stopped believing? Have we stopped short in following through with all God commands in His Word? Do we want to see a wonder!?

It all starts with seeking first the TRUE WONDER HIMSELF, JESUS CHRIST!

"But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." Matthew 6:33.

Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...

The Heart of the Struggle

Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
