New, Fresh & ALIVE!
Based on Romans 6-8
EXTRA! EXTRA! Read all about it! Did YOU hear the news??
"For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin."
Romans 6:5-6.
Something new, fresh & ALIVE can take place in US! Been looking for a chance to break out of the average, every day stuff? Look no further! Once we make the choice to turn away (die) to sin & the flesh & be baptized, something miraculous takes place as we let the Spirit lead us! Serving God means potential & possibility! Serving sin means punishment & pain. No more suffering & sorrow with Jesus! Step right up & learn more!!
"What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death. But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:21-23.
Paul, in all his passion for Jesus & his zeal for his new life free from sin, asks: "What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed?" What came of that sinful life? What do we have to show for a life lived contradictory to God's plan? There is nothing to show for it! No fruit means a dead tree! If you feel that there is more to life than you're experiencing right now, let God lead you to GREATER things!
We learned that the law still holds significance, and that being faithful does not eradicate the law, it actually fulfills and goes beyond the law! That's what a new, fresh & alive life in Christ does!
"What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet." Romans 7:7.
We need the law for our flesh to understand right & wrong. But the Spirit needs God, because the Spirit IS God! God brings the understanding of the law, but also of the new life we should be living in Him! We should not exclude the law, but we should not serve it. We need to serve God alone!
"I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin." Romans 7:25.
THERE REALLY IS SOMETHING BEYOND OUR PHYSICAL, TANGIBLE, MATERIAL LIFE! And...
It can be lived out RIGHT NOW!
"For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit." Romans 8:5.
What are we after!? WHO are we after? Is God somewhere in this equation? What's most of our time invested in??
"For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body." Romans 8:22-23.
The law birthed Jesus! The law gave way to this new life we're talking about! And as this passage of Scripture states, we wait for this new birth which gives way to an adoption-becoming a true child of God! Once this happens in your life, the world then waits for YOU to spread the NEWS!
"For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God." Romans 8:19.
Who is waiting on you to give them Jesus' message of a new, fresh & alive life? Is it your children? Is it your friends? I know I have people waiting on me too! I don't want to waste any time spreading the news, how about you!? We all need prayer to accomplish this-so let's not forget to lift each other up & pray for God's strength & guidance in Jesus' Name!

Surviving the Peace Plummet
Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 1 Corinthians 2:2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...
A Moment of Silence.
As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
The Heart of the Struggle
Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
