No Comparison!

Gina Pietrzak

Based on Exodus 9-11, Matthew 15:21-39

At every decision point, we want to be sure we are making the right choice. Could we be missing something? What's the opportunity cost? What else could be out there? Thankfully with God, we can be settled in knowing there is NO COMPARISON TO HIM! He does the miraculous! He does what this world cannot do! Everything God does keeps us in wonder & awe of Him!

The magicians of Pharaoh used their fakery to conjure up what seemed to be comparisons to God's miracles. They could get away with some things, but they soon found out they couldn't compare to God! Pharaoh soon knew, although pride wouldn't allow him to admit, that his magicians weren't the real deal...only GOD is!

"And they took ashes of the furnace, and stood before Pharaoh; and Moses sprinkled it up toward heaven; and it became a boil breaking forth with blains upon man, and upon beast. And the magicians could not stand before Moses because of the boils; for the boil was upon the magicians, and upon all the Egyptians." Exodus 9:10‭-‬11.

Who can stand against God!? NO ONE!! The miracles of God are ENDLESS! God, being Jesus Christ our Lord, did so many things to follow in the New Testament...how could we walk away from God and settle for anything less!?

"And great multitudes came unto him, having with them those that were lame, blind, dumb, maimed, and many others, and cast them down at Jesus' feet; and he healed them: Insomuch that the multitude wondered, when they saw the dumb to speak, the maimed to be whole, the lame to walk, and the blind to see: and they glorified the God of Israel."
Matthew 15:30‭-‬31.

The multitude WONDERED!! They were in awe! I pray we never lose the wonder & awe of God's miracles, because He is still doing them today! We just have to open our eyes of faith and give Him the glory!

Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...

The Heart of the Struggle

Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
