No Holding Back
Reading of the Day: Numbers 22-24
Numbers 23:23: Surely there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination against Israel: according to this time it shall be said of Jacob and of Israel, What hath God wrought!
For just a brief few chapters, we are introduced to 2 people, Balaam and Balak. Balaam and Balak were not of the children of Israel, and Balak was a king who felt threatened by Israel's recent victories. So, he called for this random guy Balaam to come to him & curse the people of Israel...and God spoke to this random man, giving him instructions to bless Israel & not curse them! God gives us this story to show that He is working both in and out of our situations...working out details we don't even see coming! People outside of the Israelite camp were starting to take notice of this powerful God and the favor Israel had with Him. God even speaks through a donkey to make sure Balaam stayed the course & focused on the plan! Every time after this when Balaam talked with Balak, he referred to himself as, "the man whose eyes are opened." The eyes of his heart were opened on a deeper level! He was no longer blindly following the plan of God, but following with a heart for the people of God! He did not just speak the words of blessing, but poured it out of his heart! He boldly proclaimed the Scripture above, saying, "there is no enchantment or divination against the children of Israel, it will be said, what has God done!" Balaam found his break through while blessing others! He turned a curse into a blessing & did not hold back! He did not bow down to the enemy & speak the curse upon Israel. Just as God does not hold back His blessings, we must not hold back our praise! Just like Balaam boldly blessed the people, we must boldly bless the Name of The Lord, Jesus Christ, Who makes all this possible! He doesn't hold back, so neither should we!

Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...
A Moment of Silence.
As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...

It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
