The Pietrzak Pack

No Replacement

Based on Hosea 9-10, Psalm 135

"Something/someone is missing." -quote spoken by just about everyone...we all have great moments, great memories, but none of them are perfect. None of them take place when there were no issues or problems. There is no such thing as a perfect moment, although many are noticeably better than others. There is just something about us people that gives us a feeling of a gap or void...like we know things could be better, but we're not sure how...

...And that's where we need an intervention of GOD! Not just in that moment of feeling the void, but each & every day! GOD CANNOT BE REPLACED BY UNFULFILLING EARTHLY THINGS!!

"The idols of the heathen are silver and gold, the work of men's hands. They have mouths, but they speak not; eyes have they, but they see not; They have ears, but they hear not; neither is there any breath in their mouths. They that make them are like unto them: so is every one that trusteth in them."
Psalms 135:15-18.

When we become numb to God by serving these idols which are void of sensory connection, we become exactly like the idols! Void of sensory connection! Empty! Numb! Unfulfilled...

Remember, God is able to feel your pain. To heal your body. To save your soul! Idols, such as celebrities, TV, the media, the government, other various addictions cannot and will not help us!

"Their heart is divided; now shall they be found faulty: he shall break down their altars, he shall spoil their images." Hosea 10:2.

It all starts with a divided heart...a choice to try to have the best of both worlds...but we cannot serve God & our idols (sin) at the same time. We can't trust in the world, we can only trust in God. If we choose to turn away from God completely, and love the world more, we are no longer divided...we are torn from God until we decide to turn back...and there's still time!

"Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the Lord , till he come and rain righteousness upon you." Hosea 10:12.

Seek God. Gain a stronger connection. None can fill the empty void like God can!

Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...

The Heart of the Struggle

Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
