No Strangers
Based on Isaiah 17-19, Ephesians 5:17-33
"And the LORD shall be known to Egypt, and the Egyptians shall know the LORD in that day, and shall do sacrifice and oblation; yea, they shall vow a vow unto the LORD, and perform it." Isaiah 19:21
God does not want us to be distant from Him. He created us, and He knows all things, but we can be considered strangers to Him if we don't desire to know & love Him back on a personal level. The Scripture says that The Lord shall be known to Egypt. Egypt was the most distant land to God, so far away in worship, practice & culture...so if God desires to be known of them & connect with them, how much more should we strive to know Him more! We have to be engaged, not estranged as the Bride of Christ!
"In that day shall Israel be the third with Egypt and with Assyria, even a blessing in the midst of the land: whom the LORD of hosts shall bless, saying, Blessed be Egypt my people, and Assyria the work of my hands, and Israel mine inheritance."
Isaiah 19:24-25
In knowing The Lord, we become a truly blessed people. How far are we away from The Lord? Are we as much of a stranger as Egypt & Assyria were, or are we near the door, hearing Him knock, just needing to finally let Him in?
"that he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish."
Ephesians 5:27
We want to be His children, not strangers! We want Him to know that we KNOW Him, not just that we know OF HIM! Again, God created our existence, but it's up to us to create that relationship with Him!

Surviving the Peace Plummet
Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 1 Corinthians 2:2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...
A Moment of Silence.
As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
The Heart of the Struggle

It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
