Not a halfway God!

Based on 1 Chronicles 28-29, John 9:24-41

"And David said to Solomon his son, Be strong and of good courage, and do it: fear not, nor be dismayed: for the LORD God, even my God, will be with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee, until thou hast finished all the work for the service of the house of the LORD."

1 Chronicles 28:20

God has called each and every one of us to do something. He holds our purpose...He also holds the strength, power, perseverance & endurance to bring us through to finish the work! God will never present an opportunity to us & leave us hanging halfway through! If we seek Him, we will see the project through to the end...but if we stop relying on God, and we leave Him halfway through, then we are blinding ourselves! David used this same encouragement to help his son Solomon be prepared to follow through with building the house of The Lord...he said God would be with him to the end!

"Then the people rejoiced, for that they offered willingly, because with perfect heart they offered willingly to the LORD: and David the king also rejoiced with great joy." 1 Chronicles 29:9

The major factor in all of this was the willing heart of Solomon & his people to go along with the plan! We can't respond to God's calling with resistance, hesitation & indifference. The people knew this was something special to be a part of. Even though they were blind to the finished product before it was completed, they saw in faith the magnificence of what it would be, so they gave their all! We must do the same! Everything God does is magnificent & miraculous, and as long as we rely on Him through it all with a willingness of heart, we won't be left stranded!

"Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all." 1 Chronicles 29:12

God is great & He makes greatness happen! If you feel like plain & ordinary is just what life is supposed to be, allow for a deeper trust in God to take you beyond! His purpose overflows with potential for greatness, but we can't blind ourselves by enjoying the lesser things of this world over Him!

"Then said they to him again, What did he to thee? how opened he thine eyes? He answered them, I have told you already, and ye did not hear: wherefore would ye hear it again? will ye also be his disciples?"

John 9:26‭-‬27

The Pharisees questioned again and again how this miracle was done, how Jesus opened the eyes of the man born blind...but they didn't question because they were in awe, they questioned because they were angry. They did not want to follow Him, they wanted to fight Him...let us have willing hearts to see these miracles for what they really are! God won't leave you halfway! He won't forget about the journey you're on and where He wants you to go, even if you feel like you're in a wilderness...just don't turn a blind eye to God!

Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
