Now will I arise!
Reading of the Day 6/13/25: Psalms 12-14
Psalm 12:5: For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith the LORD; I will set him in safety from him that puffeth at him.
The Lord knows exactly when to step on the scene...He is always there when we call! No matter how far we've gone, a repentant heart draws us closer to Him than we've ever been...and that's what this Scripture states! "...now will I arise, saith the LORD;" He hears the groans & sighs of a needy world, longing for Him! When God hears, He acts! But what about us? Do we respond to The Lord in the same way? We, too, must arise! Our mentality must change! As I heard somebody say before, "We're fresh out of later." Now is the time to respond! Now is the time to arise! Whatever God has been tugging at your heartstrings about, pray, seek Him & see how He would like you to respond! This reminds me of the journey I am on to make a gluten-free sourdough bread. Regular sourdough is so much easier to work with. It does not take much to rise. But gluten-free? It can be a little..."extra" as I've seen some describe it. Since there is no gluten, it needs a combination of many different ingredients to have the right texture and the right rise (but I've almost got it, and I hope to share the recipe soon...all glory to God!). Isn't that us a lot of the time? Although regular sourdough is more common, most of us fall under the category of "gluten-free risers." It takes a lot more to get us going & responding to God's call to reach the lost...but just like I'm still willing to do what it takes to get this gluten-free loaf right, God is also still willing to work with us...I am in AWE at God's patience level! I am so thankful & undeserving of His mercy, grace & longsuffering passion! He is still willing to mold & shape us, because HE is the Bread of Life! He's got the ingredients, but we just need to be willing to rise!
2 Corinthians 6:2: "(For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)"
