Bible Reading Today: Mark 2, John 5

Mark 2:12 And immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went forth before them all; insomuch that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it on this fashion.

Trends, styles & fashion are always changing. Each decade takes on a new form and is identified by certain traits. We find ourselves saying, "That's so 90's or 2,000's" Or whatever decade you're from! But an old-fashioned trend that does not go out of style is the miraculous! At the time Jesus healed this paralyzed man described in the passage above, the people had not seen God work "on that fashion" before. The people got so wrapped up in wearing the latest religious trends of that day, that they forgot that our God never changes, and He is a Worker of the miraculous! The Old Testament was full of miraculous events that Jesus was now starting to bring to life before them. Jesus gave the Word life again! He was there to remind them that it's on this fashion that God works! The old-fashioned power of God never goes out of style! Have you seen God on this fashion? Do you long for something deeper? Do you desire to see the miraculous? Good news! These old-fashioned methods can be a new trend in your life every single day!

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...

The Heart of the Struggle

Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
