Bible Reading Today: Genesis 46-47

Genesis 47:12 And Joseph nourished his father, and his brethren, and all his father's household, with bread, according to their families.

What a relief it must have been for Joseph's family to come to Goshen-a place right near Egypt, where they would no longer have to worry about where their next meal would come from! They were nourished by bread consistently, and anything else they needed to survive in a time of great famine. This should be our determination too, but not in terms of regular baked bread...we should be seeking out the daily nourishment of God's Word, the Bread of Life, savoring every promise, principle & precious moment we read about! It can all be consumed & applied to our lives! Just like the relief of Joseph's family coming to a place where they no longer had to worry about having enough daily bread, we too can have that same relief when we hold a Bible in our hands! "Give us this day our daily bread."

Matthew 6:11. After all, that bread couldn't have been provided by Joseph if it wasn't for God's divine provision & intervention anyway! Feeling a little malnourished? Has there been a disconnect from God's Word recently? We've all had our dry seasons! Let's dive into The Word of God this year & see our lives flourish as we become Spiritually nourished! "I am that bread of life." John 6:48

Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...

The Heart of the Struggle

Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
