Our Gain for His Glory

Bible Reading 2/26: Numbers 7

Numbers 7:55 His offering was one silver charger of the weight of an hundred and thirty shekels, one silver bowl of seventy shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary; both of them full of fine flour mingled with oil for a meat offering:

I find it so amazing that the Israelites offered so much of what they had to The Lord. We may not have a lot of the items the Israelies had, but we do have other things we can offer-we have our time, talents, and of course, our hearts like we mentioned previously! We can't be unwilling to give what we've gained because of all the hard work we put into it...most of the Israelites offered with question! And it's not just our hard work & efforts which got us the "gain" we have! We can give it all back to The Lord because He made a way and provided it in the first place! Yes, we work hard for what we have, but God ultimately opens that door! He sees our efforts & our labor. If He asks something of us, He will restore us (usually more than we ask!). So next time we think about skipping a church service, or maybe a time of prayer or reading His Word, let's think about how many hours we spend doing other things! We could think we just need time to relax or simply don't have time to dedicate to God, but God's presence provides true refreshing! He will open the door if we need more time for other things! If we have talents we use for ourselves, imagine what we could do if we dedicate those to the Kingdom of God! When we give our gain for His glory, we develop a pretty miraculous story!
