Our Words & Ways

Bible Reading 4/22: Psalms 6, 8-10, 14, 16, 19, 21

Psalms 19:14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.

The tongue is one of the hardest things to control...so many passages in Scripture emphasize this, but we can also testify by experience! That's why this Psalm is so important-it's a cry out to God in prayer from David to help him speak words which glorify God! But he also talks about the meditation of heart-the ways we ponder over & dwell on certain situations! That's where our words begin! Before manifesting & bubbling out of our mouths, our words begin forming in the ways we ponder them in our hearts...then, the weight & emphasize we give to certain things become voiced outwardly...so we need to be careful about the things we say by first considering what we meditate on most! If we have a way of dwelling on the things of God presented in Scripture, then we will speak those things as that overflows through our speech!

Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...

The Heart of the Struggle

Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
