Outnumbered
Reading of the Day: Psalms 39-41
Psalms 40:5: Many, O LORD my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered.
...And here we are again! Lol. As I said, I will be mixing it up with some older posts & some newer posts to try to get back on track, but I will be showing myself some grace in this busy season too. I encourage all of you to do the same! Someone very close to me always reminds me to slow it down & find rest in The Lord, and I want to extend that same encouragement your way. Because sometimes, we can just feel overwhelmed & outnumbered. Sometimes, we can feel outnumbered by our problems. Sometimes, we can feel outnumbered by all things we want to accomplish, and we feel so much pressure that we do not stop, slow down & rest. And this is exactly the issue today's reading speaks into: while we feel outnumbered by worldly overwhelm, we forget how awesome it is to be outnumbered by the wonderful works God has done and the beautiful thoughts He has toward us! We can't out-love God's love for us! We can't out-give what God is able to provide! If we just slow down a minute & admit we can't do it all, He will pick up right where we left off! That's why a relationship with Him is so important! It's a trust, dependency & submission to Him working through us...the focus should not be on the problems or to-do list which outnumber us...it should be upon the God Who alone has infinite goodness to pour out! So while we might give it our all, let's first give it all to God! He will reveal a path & plan that will decrease our level of overwhelm and give us a greater sense of peace. In order to not feel outnumbered & defeated by life, we have to minimize some things...the number one thing being ourselves: John 3:30: "He must increase, but I must decrease." When we minimize self, we maximize God! We get ourselves out of the way & out of the overwhelming position life forces us into! We can then just appreciate life as God leads us to the blessings, miracles & beauty which far outnumber anything we could do on our own! So, follow God's lead. Don't feel the pressure to "keep up with the Jonses." Sure, work toward healthy habits of consistency & self-discipline, but don't forget to rest in The Lord, give it to Him first, and follow His peace: Romans 14:19: "Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another." God has more goodness than this world has problems! God has more plans for us than we have goals to achieve! One God outnumbers all!

Surviving the Peace Plummet

Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...
A Moment of Silence.
As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...

It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
