Overtaken
Bible Reading Today: Deuteronomy 28-29
Deuteronomy 28:2 And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.
We are overwhelmed, overloaded & overtaken with so many things each & every day. Some we need, some we want, some unexpected, some wonderful, some we'd rather not...but in taking time to hear God's still, small voice speak to us (as was preached on Sunday), we become overtaken by The Lord and His blessings as this Scripture states! I'd rather be overtaken by blessings than overwhelmed by things I mistake as essential! We are never too busy for God. When we give Him our best, setting other things aside until later, God helps us with what's to come! These chapters also talked about being overtaken by curses when we stop listening to God...could it be that some of our daily stress comes from not putting God first? Not waiting upon Him before acting upon our impulses? I need to pray about this! Let's work on being overwhelmed by God's presence, overtaken by blessings & overcomers of our problems in Jesus' Name!!
"And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the LORD. And, behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the LORD; but the LORD was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the LORD was not in the earthquake: and after the earthquake a fire; but the LORD was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice."

Surviving the Peace Plummet
Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 1 Corinthians 2:2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...
A Moment of Silence.
As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
The Heart of the Struggle
Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
