Pass It On!

Based on Judges 1-3, Luke 4:1-30

What would happen if we kept hope to ourselves? If we didn't bother to spread positivity? If we allowed Jesus to be just a memory? Many people would drown in a sea of emptiness, including us! When we speak the Hope & Life of Jesus that's in His Word, we speak it to others yet reminding ourselves how good God really is!

"And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read. And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written, The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord." Luke 4:16‭-‬19.

Although Jesus was thrown out of the temple for the things He said, these words mean so much to us! The Pharisees & priests of the temple at that time did not bother with the poor, brokenhearted, captives, blind or bruised...they ignored the needs of others while trying to focus on God, Who cares about others so much...Jesus had to point it out...their conviction made Jesus the convict...Jesus went on to say that people like foreign widows & lepers were used as part of God's plan...speaking to the Gentiles who also needed this Word of Hope & Life! And that's when He was pushed out...

...And that's why it's important for us to pass it on! There are those out there who are suffering that don't realize who they can be in Christ, and there are those sinners that need a Savior...we have all sinned & come short, so we need to pass on the hope of eternity! And the open door to that life starts with Acts 2:38!

"Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost."
Acts 2:38.

From Old to New Testament, if God's Word wasn't passed on because of lack of diligence and lusting after idols, at some point it became refreshed & revived...in the book of Judges, different judges judged Israel and kept the people in the ways of God. When they stuck with God, they were blessed!

"And also all that generation were gathered unto their fathers: and there arose another generation after them, which knew not the Lord , nor yet the works which he had done for Israel. And the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the Lord, and served Baalim: And they forsook the Lord God of their fathers, which brought them out of the land of Egypt, and followed other gods, of the gods of the people that were round about them, and bowed themselves unto them, and provoked the Lord to anger. And they forsook the Lord , and served Baal and Ashtoreth." Judges 2:10‭-‬13.

"Nevertheless the Lord raised up judges, which delivered them out of the hand of those that spoiled them." Judges 2:16.

If we don't refresh The Word to ourselves daily, and if we don't speak it to others, we will be spoiled and destroyed by those who try to pass us their negativity. Our children, the next generation, will be left in the hands of a world that could never love like God loves. We will believe the lies of the "no hope" religion of this world. We will give into the fear of all that is taking place...but when we have Jesus, we are no longer broken, blind or in bad shape...we have Hope & Life in Him! PASS IT ON!

Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...

The Heart of the Struggle

Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
