Perfect Weakness

Based on Job 8-10, Acts 8:26-40

"Though I were perfect, yet would I not know my soul: I would despise my life."

Job 9:21

What would be the point of life if we were perfect? There would really be nothing to accomplish, overcome, or challenge ourselves. Although we must strive for being like Jesus, He knows that it is impossible to not become weak or mess up. That is why weakness is sometimes the perfect place to be! Although in Heaven things will be different, as long as we have earth & all its issues & difficulties to worry about, then we have a God we must humbly surrender to! Again, letting ourselves get to the point of perfect weakness!

"Thine hands have made me and fashioned me Together round about; yet thou dost destroy me. Remember, I beseech thee, that thou hast made me as the clay; And wilt thou bring me into dust again?" Job 10:8‭-‬9

God has the power to create & destroy...and usually, the destroying happens in order to create something new! We can't shy away from perfect weakness & brokenness. God uses those moments to bring us to something so much better! We can't avoid the warning signs of God which are there to stop us, slow us down & reconsider the path we are on. Sometimes, it's those lowest points, the points of perfect weakness, where things finally begin to make sense as we fully rely on and trust God!

"And Philip ran thither to him , and heard him read the prophet Esaias, and said, Understandest thou what thou readest? And he said, How can I, except some man should guide me? And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him."

Acts 8:30‭-‬31

This Ethiopian Eunuch wasn't afraid to let Philip know he needed help understanding the Scriptures. His point of perfect weakness changed his life completely, because he went through the Acts 2:38 plan of salvation and developed a relationship with Jesus!

"Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." Acts 2:38

Philip taught him that all Scriptures point to Jesus, and Jesus uses our points of weakness to really show us that! He builds us up in our times of brokenness. He creates something beautiful out of a mess. Will our point of perfect weakness be the turning point in our lives?
