Pillow to Pillar
Based on Genesis 27-28, Matthew 8:18-34
"And Jacob rose up early in the morning, and took the stone that he had put for his pillows, and set it up for a pillar, and poured oil upon the top of it." Genesis 28:18.
God came to Jacob in a dream, while he lay upon a stone pillow...maybe not too comfortable, but it's all he had to try his best to add a little tiny bit of comfort to his sleeping condition. God said that the land Jacob was on was blessed, and that He would give it to Jacob and multiply generations of children, continuing the promise of Abraham. When Jacob awoke, he knew he was in the presence of God, and quickly used his pillow as a pillar for The Lord!
"And this stone, which I have set for a pillar, shall be God's house: and of all that thou shalt give me I will surely give the tenth unto thee."
Genesis 28:22.
The same resources we use for comfort can be used in the Kingdom of God! Maybe even to comfort someone else, and let them know the goodness of God! Jacob may have thought he was just on a journey to find a wife & get married. He knew he took his brother's blessing, but God let him know what an honor it is to be blessed of The Lord! And so, Jacob said he will give a tenth of all he has back to God because he realized the magnitude of his blessing! We can lay on our pillow & just seek to receive from God, or we can become pillars, standing tall for God, embracing our blessings fully, and sharing our blessings with others!
"And, behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves: but he was asleep. And his disciples came to him, and awoke him, saying, Lord, save us: we perish. And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm."
Matthew 8:24-26.
Even when it seems like God is "on His pillow" or not aware of our situation, He just has another miracle on the way! We just have to wait, have faith & trust that He's always there to help us & guide us when we pray! Jesus is more than a pillar, for it takes many pillars to hold up a building...JESUS IS OUR ROCK! The One & only Rock of our salvation!
Stand strong upon Jesus, our Rock! Honor Him with all you have, and don't sleep through your miracle!

Surviving the Peace Plummet
Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 1 Corinthians 2:2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...
A Moment of Silence.
As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
