Pray until you Praise!

Bible Reading 5/14: Psalms 32, 51, 86, 122

Psalms 86:12 I will praise thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart: and I will glorify thy name for evermore.

David was very expressive of his emotions toward God. No matter what he was feeling, even his guilt and shame, he gave it to God in prayer. And what's great is that God did not leave him feeling shameful! After David prayed, he began to praise! David prayed until he felt better. He prayed until his mourning turned into dancing! He prayed until his sorrow turned into a song! God is so merciful & gracious...when we give Him our negative, He alone has the ability to turn it into a positive! But we need to sincerely desire to part from our past...to repent & release our sin...only that sincerity & humility will cause God's joy to take over! We shouldn't leave our time of prayer & be just as sad as we were entering in! We should leave rejoicing & overcoming in Jesus' Name! Pray until you praise!

"Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: Thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;"

Psalm 30:11

Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...

The Heart of the Struggle

Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
