REACTIONS

Based on 2 Timothy 1-4, Psalm 119

"132: Look thou upon me, and be merciful unto me, as thou usest to do unto those that love thy name.
133: Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me." Psalm 119:132-133.

Feelings & emotions generate so many different reactions. But how do we keep them under control? Should we react to EVERYTHING? Especially in regards to the world's current state??

Sometimes, it's confusing to know how exactly to respond & react...where do we stand?? Never fear! When we stand with God, we can be calm in knowing how to react to certain situations, even in this election season! His Word is firm upon a sure foundation, so we don't have to let our feelings keep us in a stormy uproar! When we react to God in love, He reacts in mercy! His mercy upon our lives gives us a positive reaction to the world around us-no matter what comes our way!

"16: But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness." 2 Timothy 2:16.

"20: But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.

21: If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.
22: Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart." 2 Timothy 2:20-22.

Profane & vain babblings make us a vessel of dishonor. When we react out of anger, and don't think about the things we say or post, it deconstructs our integrity & Christ-like character! And I know I mentioned our response to world events earlier, but look at the above Scripture-"in a great house." It all starts at home. It's so easy to have negative reactions & interactions between loved ones in our households. "In a great house", you'll have the good & the bad...but, thankfully, the more we build our homes on the Word of God, the more good we will have...because GOD IS GOOD!!

React to God in complete servitude, faithfulness & devotion, and see how He transforms your life, from negative impulsive reaction to positive spiritual reaction!

Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...

The Heart of the Struggle

Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
