Refreshing Restoration

Gina Pietrzak

Based on Jeremiah 30-31, Philemon

"For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the LORD; because they called thee an Outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeketh after." Jeremiah 30:17

After their time of captivity, God promises to restore His people. In every way, God wants to show us He will be there to pick us up when the world knocks us down! Even though God put them in that place of captivity, it wasn't where they belonged...they were still outcasts there...no one cared for them like God! God would restore their health & heal the wounds! He can make us whole again physically, mentally, Spiritually, emotionally...in every way!

"Therefore they shall come and sing in the height of Zion, and shall flow together to the goodness of the LORD, for wheat, and for wine, and for oil, and for the young of the flock and of the herd: and their soul shall be as a watered garden; and they shall not sorrow any more at all."

Jeremiah 31:12

Joyous singing flows from the refreshing restoration of God! Not only does He heal our bodies, but this above Scripture states that He waters our soul like a garden, with no more sorrow! This is not a one-time thing, but it's intended to be a daily benefit of walking with The Lord! All the way until we reach eternity!

"that the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus." Philemon 1:6

Paul was happy about the encouragement that Philemon was giving others in the faith. Our communication must speak of the same encouraging, refreshing & restoring power God has! So many people suffer in a desert of emptiness. A wandering wilderness of confusion. But just as God used the captivity to restore His people, He can use those experiences to instill an urgency to come unto Him! We can be those people who speak into the deserts & wildernesses of others! We can speak of the wonderful things God has done to refresh & restore us!

Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...

The Heart of the Struggle

Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
