Refuge

Bible Reading 3/10: Numbers 35-36

Numbers 35:14 Ye shall give three cities on this side Jordan, and three cities shall ye give in the land of Canaan, which shall be cities of refuge.

Our world is mostly a place of unrest, danger & conflict. As much as we'd like to think otherwise, we've seen so much of that take place over the recent years especially. It's easy to let ourselves think that God no longer desires us to have peace & a place of refuge...but Scripture clearly tells us that God cares for our refuge, and even provides a place of refuge for those who have committed crimes such as murder. This doesn't mean He let's them get away with it, but He provides a safe holding place until they are fairly tried & judged. If God provides a place like that for criminals, then of course He will give us our place of refuge too! Next time the world has you feeling uneasy, anxious or in danger, call upon The Name of Jesus! You may not be transported to Heaven just yet, but even in the world we live in, God gives us the protection, love & care we need to get through any trial or storm!

"Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: Thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over."

Psalm 23:5

Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...

The Heart of the Struggle

Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
