Rejoice in Every Good Thing!

Reading of the Day: Deuteronomy 25-27

Deuteronomy 26:11: And thou shalt rejoice in every good thing which the LORD thy God hath given unto thee, and unto thine house, thou, and the Levite, and the stranger that is among you.

I don't know about you, but a lot of the time, it can be hard to say, "Today was a really good day." It seems like the difficulties of life take a front seat in our minds, and all the things that were good get forgotten. I am not saying it is always like that, but lately life has been very full, busy, and a little crazy for us! I always embrace the good when it comes, but I just tend to bury it under the stresses of life at times. We are always in need of the prayers! But this Scripture reminded me of something...we need to rejoice in EVERY good thing! That kind of made me stop & think a little...to really break down the moments of my day & see all the good I am really missing! If we really try to think of EVERY good thing, we eventually come to the conclusion that everything's all good! God is in control & gives us peace, even in the crazy! In evaluating & seeing every good thing, we can see more clearly how God is there for us and gets us through the tough times! So...the tough times don't seem so tough. The crazy doesn't seem so crazy. And that's because, God is always GOD! We always have a reason to rejoice! So rejoice in every good thing, because everything's all good with God!

Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
