Remember

Gina Pietrzak

Based on Psalms 43-45, Acts 27:27-44

"All this is come upon us; yet have we not forgotten thee, Neither have we dealt falsely in thy covenant. Our heart is not turned back, Neither have our steps declined from thy way;" Psalm 44:17‭-‬18

There are many memories we'd rather not return to, many things we try to forget...regrets, mistakes, traumatic experiences...but let's not let God fall into that same category! All we've gone through is more reason to stick close to God! We have only gotten through because of Him, so this is no time to let our steps decline from the way!

"If we have forgotten the name of our God, or stretched out our hands to a strange god; Shall not God search this out? For he knoweth the secrets of the heart." Psalm 44:20‭-‬21

When we turn away from God and become occupied with other things, God seeks us out! He examines our hearts! He loves us and desperately wants us to come back to Him! When we forget, He knows! We must remember our God. We must desire unity with our God! No idol will chase us down when we walk away. No idol will be sad when we stop our obsession. Remember! We serve a living & loving God!

"Paul said to the centurion and to the soldiers, Except these abide in the ship, ye cannot be saved." Acts 27:31

We need to abide & dwell with Jesus & stay on the Acts 2:38 ship in order to be saved!

"Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." Acts 2:38

We can't forget Jesus' ultimate sacrifice for us! We need to remember what He went through to set us free from the bondage of our old lives! No one fights for us like Jesus! Since the beginning of time, He has loved each of our souls...how amazing is that!? Let's not make that a memory...let's remember & refresh it daily!

Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...

The Heart of the Struggle

Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
