Restless
Bible Reading Today: Psalms 3-4, 12-13, 28, 55
Stand in awe, and sin not: Commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah. Psalm 4:4
Sleeping can be hard for many reasons, but I think the main reason is usually not physical...it's all in the mind! We are restless thinking about what could have gone better today, what we want to change in the past, and what could happen tomorrow. Our mind tends to hold rest hostage from us! But thankfully we have peaceful Psalms to meditate upon! This Scripture says to commune with your own heart upon your bed & be still! Face up to those feelings & thoughts stirring up from the depths of your heart! Pour it all out to God! Allow Him to give you a calmness & contentment to sleep through the storm. The storm won't seem so scary if we trust in Him! "Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth." Psalm 46:10

Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...
A Moment of Silence.
As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
The Heart of the Struggle
Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
