Restore the Refreshing

Based on Isaiah 34-36, Colossians 2

"Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert. And the parched ground shall become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of water: in the habitation of dragons, where each lay, shall be grass with reeds and rushes."

Isaiah 35:6‭-‬7

Are you experiencing a dry & parched season? Sometimes, we let ourselves go through it so long, we forget that there's a way out! We forget that through Jesus, we can have a fruitful life, flowing abundantly, instead of a still, dry, uneventful existence. We must rely on Jesus, our River of Living Water, to restore the "refresh" button in our lives-but only a commitment to change will do it!

"and the ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away." Isaiah 35:10

When we repent of the past & get baptized in the refreshing water, receiving His Spirit & speaking in that new Heavenly language, we truly unlock an abundant life! But resistance to that change halts the refreshing! Our old routines don't allow us to be restored! We want that everlasting joy! We want sorrow & sighing to flee away! So, we need this beautiful change...to remember that in Jesus, we can live a saturated life of The Word & Spirit, rather than a still & dull life with no sense of refreshing!

"As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving." Colossians 2:6‭-‬7

Even if we've already received, we can sometimes forget to press "refresh!" We can forget that we have His Spirit, rivers of living water, abounding up inside of us...through His Word & prayer, we can remind ourselves to restore that refresh! To find streams in the desert. To drink of the cup which never runs dry!
