Rich in The Lord
Based on Jeremiah 49-50, Psalm 119:1-16
"I have rejoiced in the way of thy testimonies, as much as in all riches."
Psalm 119:14.
We have things which bring us pleasure, enjoyment & entertainment in this life. They give a satisfactory feeling, if only for a time...the Truth is, the Truth & treasures found in God's Word allow us to have this feeling without end! We are not just satisfied through God, we are sustained! We can then be content, no matter how many earthly possessions we have!
"4: Wherefore gloriest thou in the valleys, thy flowing valley, O backsliding daughter? that trusted in her treasures, saying, Who shall come unto me?" Jeremiah 49:4.
Remember before how we talked about the fact that God doesn't leave our enemies unpunished? Punishment is honestly a witness to them that God is real, and He means business...and He certainly did! God was pointing out the fact in the above Scripture the Ammonites focused on possessions instead of changing their ways & trusting in God. They said "Who shall come unto me?" Basically making it seems like earthly riches were all they need to protect themselves. We need to be surrounded by God's presence, not presents!!
"16: Thy terribleness hath deceived thee, and the pride of thine heart, O thou that dwellest in the clefts of the rock, that holdest the height of the hill: though thou shouldest make thy nest as high as the eagle, I will bring thee down from thence, saith the LORD." Jeremiah 49:16.
No matter how much we force our way up society's hierarchical ladder, our pride will bring us low if we forget God along the way...no matter who we are! God sees those who love Him. He also sees those who do not. He loves us all! We are precious to Him, so He should be our greatest Treasure! We can trust in Him! The world will get to know Him by wrath if they don't choose the Treasure of His Word, the treasure of Truth! Let's choose Him today!
"Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk."
Acts 3:6.
God's got better things planned for us than earthly riches! Experience healing, salvation, restoration & eternity with the True Treasure...Jesus Christ!

Surviving the Peace Plummet
Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 1 Corinthians 2:2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...
A Moment of Silence.
As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
