Right Word, Right Time

Gina Pietrzak

Based on Proverbs 25-26, 2 Corinthians 9

"A word fitly spoken Is like apples of gold in pictures of silver." Proverbs 25:11

Has there ever been a time when you were looking for an answer, and you weren't sure when it was going to come, and all of a sudden, "There it is! That's it! That's what I've been waiting for!"

It's such a great feeling when something just makes sense after a long time of wondering...as Scripture says, like apples of gold in pictures of silver! Like a word of encouragement for example, the right word at the right time is as beautiful as a work of art, lifting our spirits and letting us feel so much better!

"A lying tongue hateth those that are afflicted by it; And a flattering mouth worketh ruin." Proverbs 26:28

On the opposite end, a wrong word at the wrong time feels terrible...a lie doesn't protect anyone; its only intention is to hurt others! Also, flattering and encouraging are two different things! Flattering is a lie painted positively, but encouragement is the pure Truth, beautifully given, like those apples of gold in pictures of silver!

"But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully." 2 Corinthians 9:6

We should be as bountiful with encouragement to others as we can, especially in this day & hour! We should be holding our tongue & sparing with our words (not daring!) if we are unsure if what we are saying is speaking positively or negatively. Are we glorifying God? Are we lifting up others? Or are we putting others down & lifting ourselves up? We need to speak the Scriptures, giving that right word at the right time!

Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...

The Heart of the Struggle

Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
