Rise Up!
Reading of the Day: Psalms 90-92
Psalm 92:13: Those that be planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God.
We never truly know where life will take us...we might find ourselves standing in some unlikely places. It's one thing to simply "be" somewhere...but it's another thing to RISE! We may find ourselves in a place where we exist, and where we dwell unchanged for a long period of time. Or, we can be somewhere where we dwell, learn, live, thrive & rise! That place is the house of The Lord & the courts of our God, as this Scripture says! Gathered as one in His presence is the place where we can not only gather as people (because we can do that anywhere)...but we can gather as children of God! We gather with an eternal purpose, one which will make us rise to Heavenly places one day! What we gather to celebrate at church rises above anything else we could gather for! If we want to be in a place where we do more than just exist...then we need to be in church! In His Word! In prayer! Worshipping Him in Spirit and in Truth together! There's absolutely nothing like it, because there's no One like Him! Yes, there are so many summer activities to be a part of...but rising each day with The One Who rose from the dead is on another level! So today, and every day...don't just be. Rise!
