Robbed to Restored

Bible Reading 11/5: John 16-17

John 16:22 And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you.

Everyday we go through things...and while we go through new things, we carry the burden of some old hurts & pains with us too. After a while, we start to walk through life crouching. Full of the hard stuff, no room in our hands to hang onto anything which brings joy. The devil has stolen our joy so cleverly by quickly replacing it with something stressful that we sometimes don't even notice we are carrying something different. We open our hand & say, "How did that get there?" So, we've been robbed! The sad thing is, we sometimes just keep the bad stuff voluntarily...we allow the robbery to take full effect because we don't refuse the devil's transaction! On the other side of this "joy robbery," there's restoration! We can choose to open our hands to God, drop the devil's devices against us, and allow God to restore what has been stolen! Yes, sorrow happens. Life is not always a "happy-go-lucky" playground. But we don't have to grip the gripe so tightly! We have a choice in the matter! When we trust God and turn to Him in all things, we can overcome the most clever tactics the devil throws at us. We can live a restored life instead of being robbed of life. Let joy become your greatest habit by letting God be your greatest Love!

Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...

The Heart of the Struggle

Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
