Saved to Serve

Reading of the Day: Leviticus 25-27

Leviticus 25:55: For unto me the children of Israel are servants; they are my servants whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.

This is an interesting Scripture, because it clearly highlights the new title of the Israelites. When they were in Egypt, they were slaves. When they were brought forth out of Egypt by God, they became servants! And these 2 things could not be more different! If someone is a slave, then their time, talent, treasures and everything else is taken. But if someone is a servant, then their time, talent, treasures and everything else are given! God wants us to willingly give ourselves back to Him, because we are His to begin with! No matter what Egypt we've been through, or to whom or what we've been a slave, we can come back to God & serve Him with our whole hearts! Our God will never take advantage of us or treat us unfairly or unjustly. We have been saved to serve by going from slave to servant: Leviticus 26:13 states, "I am the Lord your God, which brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, that ye should not be their bondmen; and I have broken the bands of your yoke, and made you go upright." We may have been beaten down, but God saves us to stand tall again! He gives us the ability to be restored with a purpose & passion to give back to His Kingdom! Although we have been once a slave, we have been saved to serve!

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...

It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
