Shout Before Victory!

Gina Pietrzak

Bible Reading Today: Joshua 5-8

Joshua 6:20 So the people shouted when the priests blew with the trumpets: and it came to pass, when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat, so that the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city.

Sometimes we hold our breath before claiming something good is going to happen...we hesitate thinking it may not work out, or it's "too good to be true"...but thankfully, God says we can shout & celebrate before the victory! Before the battle is won or the enemy is defeated, we can give a shout of confidence-not in our own ability, but in God's! God gave Joshua this battle plan, and faith & trust were the sword & shield of success in this unique situation! Once the shout went out, the wall fell & victory was theirs! No dissembly required! Our lives can look the same with faith & trust in God as the undercurrent of each day! When we pour out our prayer & praise over each day, celebrating what we claim God is going to do, we already have a winner's attitude & mentality! God has the power forever, so we can celebrate & shout NOW! Our walls & giants won't be around for long!

Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...

The Heart of the Struggle

Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
