Signs of Life
Based on Genesis 8-11
"And the waters decreased continually until the tenth month: in the tenth month, on the first day of the month, were the tops of the mountains seen." Genesis 8:5
The tops of the mountains being seen might have seemed like a little progress, nothing special...more time would have to pass before the earth was ready to be walked upon again...does life seem like that right now? Are the tips of mountains peering through in the distance not enough to satisfy us? I know it can be hard to trust that God has a plan for a big world that's changed in big ways...especially when it seems like a big process...but He always has a plan, and even when it seems like things are "dead in the water," He gives us signs of life peeking through the top!
"and the dove came in to him in the evening; and, lo, in her mouth was an olive leaf pluckt off: so Noah knew that the waters were abated from off the earth."
Genesis 8:11
Success! Another step forward! Now a dove & a branch. Without linking pieces of the puzzle together, we won't see the whole thing completed...as mentioned in the last post, baby steps are still steps! More life will unfold if we remember to keep speaking it & proclaiming it instead of speaking death...God did it once, twice, and He will continue to do it!
"And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth." Genesis 9:1
"And God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations: I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth." Genesis 9:12-13
New generations unfolding. A rainbow in the sky. The story of the earth continuing! These small, simple signs of life turned into a pretty big deal after a while-because it led to the lives of you & me! Life goes on when we go with God, The Creator of life! Without God, we still reside under the surface, waiting for the tip of a mountain, or a dove & a branch. Trust in God and He will continue your story!

Surviving the Peace Plummet
Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 1 Corinthians 2:2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...
A Moment of Silence.
As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
