Sin & "No"
Based on Ezekiel 30-32, 1 Peter 4
"And I will pour my fury upon Sin, the strength of Egypt; and I will cut off the multitude of No." Ezekiel 30:15
"Sin" and "No" were areas of Egypt that God poured great judgment & wrath upon...but is it a wonder that God would do that in areas with such definitive names? We know of Egypt's harsh attacks upon God's people, we've studied many of the stories...and could it be because such Sinful places existed which always said No to God? "Sin" and "No" are the greatest things which separate us from God too! When we sin, we say no to God! When we say no to God, we sin!
"Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin; that he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God." 1 Peter 4:1-2
Instead of sinning & denying God, let's do works of righteousness, denying our flesh & saying yes to God! A "no" to God can help us avoid responsibility for a season, but a "no" lifestyle could cause us to say "no" to an eternity with Jesus in Heaven! Why would we want to risk our eternity for sin for a season?
"Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator." 1 Peter 4:19
He is our faithful Creator! We must keep our souls safe in Him, away from Sin & No and committed to God & Yes!

Surviving the Peace Plummet
Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 1 Corinthians 2:2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...
A Moment of Silence.
As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
The Heart of the Struggle
Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
