Bible Reading 9/15: Daniel 4-6

Daniel 6:20 And when he came to the den, he cried with a lamentable voice unto Daniel: and the king spake and said to Daniel, O Daniel, servant of the living God, is thy God, whom thou servest continually, able to deliver thee from the lions?

I love that Daniel attracts the attention of every ruler in his ancient day. Daniel was not loud and boastful about his Godly life...he was just simply living it. That alone was powerful! Every time he was brought "center stage" in courts of kings, God showed up, showed out and showed all that He alone is King overall! It was not because Daniel had a memorable personality, but it was that Daniel had a memorable connection to his God! So memorable in fact, that it made king Darius lament in desperation for his dear friend Daniel, "Did God do it!? Was He able to deliver you out of the lions den!?" And as we all know, God was able. In fact, He IS able! And someone in our lives, like king Darius, NEEDS to know. Someone in our lives, in some way, is crying out in desperation needing to know that God is real. Someone needs a miracle! Yes, Daniel gained fame among kings, but king Darius was more than an authority to Daniel...he was a dear friend. What loved ones are crying out in desperation to us? Who needs to see the fruit of a Spiritual life to realize God is real? Someone does! Let's get closer to God, deeper in His Word & applying it to our lives, and let God do the rest...just like Daniel!

Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...

The Heart of the Struggle

Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
